Configuring the Static IP Address

In order for the terminal to connect to your network, you must configure the terminal to have a static IP address.
Follow these steps to configure the static IP address:
  1. Press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key and the
    1
     key at the same time.
  2. When prompted, enter your password and press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key. The default password is
    12345678
  3. On the Comms Setup screen, tap 
    TCP/IP Setup
    .
  4. On the TCP/IP Setup screen, scroll down and tap 
    IP Mode
  5. On the IP Mode screen, tap 
    Static IP
    .
  6. On the IP screen, enter the IP address reserved for the payment terminal. To enter a period, press the 
    1
     key twice. When you finish entering the IP address, press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key. 
  7. On the Subnet mask screen, enter the subnet mask value for your network setup and press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key.
  8. On the Gateway screen, enter the gateway value for your network setup and press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key. 
  9. On the DNS Pri screen, enter 
    0.0.0.0
    and press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key.
  10. On the DNS Sec screen, enter 
    0.0.0.0
     and press the green 
    O
    (Confirm) key.
  11. Return to the Engineering menu by pressing the red 
    X
    (Cancel) key several times.
