Verifone P400
The Verifone P400 payment terminal is a PIN-pad device that is used in high-volume retail and hospitality environments. The merchant connects the terminal to a separate point-of-sale (POS) system or application that tracks and calculates the sales total for transactions. When the sales total for the transaction is determined, the customer is prompted to present a payment card to the terminal. The customer can swipe, insert, or tap their card to make a payment.
The P400 terminal has these features:
- Color touch screen, angled display
- Tactile keypad, color-coded function keys: redX(Cancel), yellow<(Clear), greenO(Confirm)
- Accepts contactless, EMV chip and PIN, and magstripe payment input options
- PCI PTS 5.x approved security, compliance with end-to-end encryption
- Connects via Ethernet or USB to POS Android or Windows solutions
