How do I connect the card reader to my mobile device?
The Bluetooth pairing is done in two steps. The first step activates the pairing on the card reader and the second step initiates the actual pairing from your mobile device.
  • Switch the reader on and wait until the Bluetooth symbol appears in the upper left corner of the screen. Hold down the green [✔] key until the Bluetooth symbol starts to blink.
  • Choose Bluetooth in your mobile device’s settings and make sure it’s turned on. In the Devices section, a device named “Miura…” will appear.
  • Tap on the device to initialize the pairing.
  • Tap the Pair button of the alert that will appear soon.
  • Press the green [✔] key on the card reader to confirm the pairing. In case you run into any problems, go through the Bluetooth pairing process again.
I am having problems with the Bluetooth connection to my Miura reader. What do I need to do?
  1. Make sure the reader is active (the screen is on) and paired.
  2. Restart the reader.
  3. Do a factory reset.

I am using the Miura reader with several phones. According to my phone there is a Bluetooth connection to the reader, but the reader does not work. What do I do?
If you are using a Miura reader with several phones, it is possible that the Bluetooth connection to one phone has already been cancelled, although the reader is still listed under connected Bluetooth devices. In this case, remove the Miura reader from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on the phone and pair it again.
How do I turn the card reader on/off?
  • Press the on/off button for about a second to turn on the card reader. A logo will appear during the boot process. The boot process is finished, when you can see a battery symbol in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Press the on/off button for about four seconds to turn off the card reader. A message will appear and the device switches off.
Does the card reader have a sleep mode?
Yes, the card reader has a sleep mode to save battery power. It is automatically entered when it is not used. You can exit the sleep mode by pressing any button on the reader.
The card reader automatically leaves sleep mode every 30 seconds. What do I need to do?
If this cannot be solved by a factory reset, the card reader is faulty and needs to be replaced.
The card reader shows "system tampered".
The anti-tamper mechanism of the card reader has been triggered. The reader needs to be replaced.
The card reader does not start / freezes during the starting process.
Try to restart the reader.
If this fails, try a factory reset.
Is there a limit on the number of users/employees that can gain access to the application?
No, there is no limit to the number of users who can gain access to the app.
What happens if the merchant forgets the password for the user account?
The login page of the erchant dashboard and the login screen of the app include links to request a new password. Enter the merchant's email address to send a password-reset email to the merchant.
What happens if the merchant wants to change the email address/user account?
That is no problem - you can set a new email address in the Gateway Manager.
