WiFi Connectivity Configuration

Turn on the WiFi.

Turn on card reader by holding down the

[GREEN]

key.

Enter the "Engineering Menu" by pressing the

[YELLOW]

and

[1]

keys at the same.

Enter "12345678" as the default password. We recommend changing the password. See FAQ for more information.

Scroll down and enter the “Comms Setup” menu.

Select “Comm Type”.

Select the “WIFI” option and confirm by pressing the

[GREEN]

key.

In the “Comms Setup” menu, select “TCP/IP config”.

Select “TCP Mode”.

Select the “TCP Server” option and confirm by pressing the

[GREEN]

key.

Go back to the “Engineering menu” by repeatedly pressing the

[RED]

key.

Select “Connection Setup”.

Select “Listen Port”.

Enter (or verify)

as the “Listen Port” and confirm by pressing the

[GREEN]

key.

On the card reader, enter the “Comms Setup” menu.

Select “TCP/IP config”.

Select "IP Mode".

Select "Static IP".

Enter the static IP reserved for the Verifone e355. To enter the "." character, double-press the "1" key. Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Enter the Subnet Mask of your WiFi setup. Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Enter the Gateway of your WiFi setup. Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Enter

0.0.0.0

for the DNS Pri setting. Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Enter

0.0.0.0

for the DNS Sec setting. Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Connect the Verifone e355 to the WiFi.

On the card reader, enter the “Comms Setup” menu.

Select “WiFi config”.

Select “Add WiFi profile”. The card reader will search for available WiFi networks.

Select the WiFi network that you want to join.

Enter the correct Wifi password. Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Go to the “WiFi config” menu.

Select "Setup Roaming".

Select "Enabled".

Enter "80".

In the “WiFi config” menu, select “Set WiFi profile”.

Select the profile you have just created (it will be named like the network point you have just joined). Press the

[GREEN]

key when done.

Exit the “Engineering menu” by repeatedly pressing the

[RED]

key.

The card reader will update and try to connect to your WiFi. When the card reader successfully connects to your WiFi, the WiFi icon will display in the upper left corner of the screen.
