I have reasonable suspicion that a card reader was modified or exchanged, what can I do?

If you have reasonable suspicion that a card reader was modified or exchanged, you need to make sure that it cannot be used anymore:

Look up the readerin the gateway manager.

Deactivate the reader.

Ifthe reader was attached to a merchant, detach it from the merchant.

If the reader is located at a merchant, ask the merchant to return the reader to you.
